Troubleshooting OpenAI API Key Issues and Tier Upgrade Steps

can someone help me figure out how to get this api key to work? It says I need to be in tier 2 for OpenAI and to get to tier 2 I need to spend 100 and wait 7 days. This was 14 days ago. I loaded my OpenAI account with 100 dollars and still nothing. Idk how to spend 100 dollars if I can’t use it within Clay. I tried to reach out to OpenAI support but the answers are really unclear. It says to increase rate limits but idk how to

To use OpenAI with Clay, you need a tier 2 API key with 450,000 tokens per minute (TPM) for Claygent. If you've already loaded $100 but still can't use it, you may need to explicitly request an upgrade to tier 2. Here's what to do: 1. Check your current usage tier at https://platform.openai.com/account/limits 2. If not on tier 2, contact OpenAI support to request an upgrade: https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6614161-how-can-i-contact-support 3. Mention that you've already added funds and need tier 2 for third-party integrations Once upgraded, update your API key in Clay: 1. Go to Model > Account > Add Account in the enrichment panel 2. Enter your new tier 2 API key If issues persist, click "Talk to a person" for further assistance.

Hey Annamarie - If you don't see an option to upgrade in your OpenAI settings API it's because it might not be available for you just yet. You can check your current tier, as well as your usage and limits, in the OpenAI dashboard under: • Usage • Limits • Usage Tiers We’ve typically seen users successfully add a pre-paid tier amount to their OpenAI account and resolve the issue but seems like here it's not working so it might be required to wait for now unfortunately.
