Hey team, do people typically buy a license for the email providers Clay integrates with or uses their credits? Asking because the vast majority of my credits seem to go on finding the right email, when really I want to use clay for AI personalisation and person enrichment from linkedin.
Hey Alex C., Yeah in some cases, you can end up spending less if you use your own license and API key I think it's a good approach to test the waters with Clay credits to see what's the average coverage rate with a few providers, and if you're satisfied with one, get a subscription with them Can be a useful tactic with ChatGPT API key too
Great question, Alex! As Jani mentions, some people may even have 2-3 of their own APIs to save on Clay credits for more specific enrichments. Prospeo tends to have great coverage followed by DropContact, but I guess it depends a lot on the industry as well. The advantage is that you can try them out in that order before you commit to more than one at a time. Hope that helps!
Thanks! Signed up to both of those to test them out
