Choosing the Best API for Instantly Integration: v1 vs v2

Use Version 2 of the Instantly API. Instantly has released Version 2 of their API keys and will be sunsetting support for Version 1. Clay uses Instantly's v2 API, so you need to ensure you're using the v2 API key for the integration to work properly. If you're adding your API key, make sure to add version 2. For any actively used columns, you'll need to create new ones from Add enrichment rather than duplicating existing columns.

When using "Find people at these companies," the contacts are automatically saved to a new table. After clicking "Preview People" and reviewing the results, click "Import" and then "Save to new table" to create a separate people table. Clay automatically creates a new table for the people results and links it to your original companies table, allowing you to pull company data into your people table later. You cannot specify an existing table as the destination - the system creates a new table each time you run this search.

Use the Write to Table feature for column mapping. Click "Add Enrichment" → search "Write to Table" → select your destination table → enter "/" to skip list selection → map the columns you want to copy from source to destination table. Alternatively, use Send table data: click Actions → Send table data → select destination table → choose Send row → select which columns to send. Both methods let you transfer specific columns while keeping data aligned across tables.
