Hey, I saw some community videos about source scheduling, don't seem to have this in our workspace but would be very well timed if we could have access + this will work with Apify actors. About to design an SOP for a bunch of our teams to use that would make this a whole lot simpler 🙂.
Scheduled sources are available for Find Company, Find People, and Find Job searches. Here's how you can set up a scheduled source: 1. Click the header of your source column 2. Hover over "Sources" 3. Select your source 4. Under "When should we run this source?" choose "On a schedule" 5. Specify your preferred frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly) Regarding Apify integration - we've recently launched a new Apify source that can pull data from actor runs. You can find this under "other" in the Source Modal. For automatic updates from future actor runs, make sure not to specify a particular run as an input.

Am not seeing autoschedule with Apify source, and unsure if this auto-updates upon an actor completing, would be great to know exactly how this works as it's influencing design choices currently.
When using the Apify source in Clay, here's how the auto-update functionality works: 1. If you don't specify a particular run as input, your table will automatically update with data from: • The latest run so far • All subsequent future runs from that actor 2. The auto-update schedule operates on a 24-hour refresh cycle. You can: • Check when the next update will occur • Manually trigger an update by clicking the Apify column header and selecting sources To set this up, when configuring your Apify source, make sure the "Get Data from Specific Run" option is turned off. This ensures your table will continue pulling data from the latest runs rather than being limited to a single specified run.

The Apify source integration is actually quite new - it was just announced in April 2024. The current functionality allows tables to automatically update with data from both the latest run and all subsequent future runs from your chosen actor. There are no announced plans for changes to this auto-update functionality at this time.

Will this still operate if a specific task is given rather than run? and can this task be updated programatically via the source?
Yes, you can use a specific Apify task with auto-updates. When using the Apify source: 1. You can specify a task in the configuration (it's an optional input field). 2. The auto-update functionality will work with tasks just like it does with actor runs, refreshing every 24 hours to pull in new data. However, the task configuration itself cannot be updated programmatically through the Clay source - you'll need to manage task settings directly in your Apify account.
