Reducing Credit Waste: Optimizing Waterfall Function and Data Usage

Hey Team - The waterfall function seems to be wasting lots of credits. If a result is not found in the first attempt, the chances of returning one in the 2nd-5th attempts are very low. We want to change our people table to only try once (and remove the 2nd-5th attempts). A few questions here:

  1. 1.

    How do I stop future runs from attempting, while preserving existing data? We ran on 1500 contacts, so dont want to delete the columns and lose the data we already paid for

  2. 2.

    How can I see a breakdown of my credit usage? We are trying to get more efficient with our usage, and are struggling to have the visibility into determining what to do.

    Hey, thanks for reaching out! 😊 If you want to delete the 2nd–5th attempts with new data, I recommend creating a new table or using a new work email enrichment for that data. Updating directly could result in losing the data you already have. Alternatively, you can send the existing data to a new table using the write-to-table option or create a merge column to combine the data together. Let me know if you need any help with this! 😊

    Some help would be appreciated! Any chance we can do a ~5min slack huddle to see how it’s done? I’m worried to create a new table bc I don’t want to use credits to pay for lead data we already have.
