Is there a recommended process to do in order to lookup an object from another table? I’m trying to pull in the output of the Enrich Person from Linkedin Profile from a separate table in the same workbook, but it doesn’t seem straightforward.
You can use the "Lookup Single Row in Other Table" feature to pull data between tables in your workbook. Here's how: 1. Look for the enrichment panel in your table 2. Find the option called "Lookup Single Row in Other Table" 3. Add this as a column to your table - it will appear with the Clay logoOnce added, you can click on cells in this column to extract specific variables you want from your source table into your current table. If you need to refresh the data later, you can simply rerun the lookup column to pull in any updated information from the source table. Hi Christopher, thank you for reaching out.I believe that this can be achieved using our Lookup function. This video explains how to set up and use a lookup function in 2 minutes. I suggest using a unique identifier such as LinkedIn URL or company domain in order to find the row you are looking for. Let me know if this helps!
It looks like this doesn’t pull in all of the enrichments from the other table. This list is limited
Specifically I’m trying to pull in the output of the Enrich Person from Linkedin Profile enrichment
Christopher - Do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1347419411/65baf32e1d2a789ffba395c6d35c/CleanShot+2025-01-22+at+_42I1FzxXHf%402x.png?expires=1738183500&signature=2a5d653258623f9ba897b4dc7e66bea60905e4a13eb54dd1a396f459bd5b7db7&req=dSMjEc1%2FlIVeWPMW1HO4zVws4pk2BVetgvYjA82bedD9Og%3D%3D%0A
Hi Christopher, are you trying to parse this output: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1356958787/6094b61937e65ce6f40da69783ee/CleanShot+2025-01-29+at+15_15_57%402x.png?expires=1738183500&signature=67c873cf68ed7b2c12d4ac2fdf60e9f1bb7d6462b847112580855df17173f907&req=dSMiEMB7lYZXXvMW1HO4zSAH5Jg9oX8XcoZC4YL3akTHnz8rqUA853zuMf9m%0AZME2%0A
yes. I’m trying to pull that into the other table in the workbook without re-running the enrichment
Double-click on any cell from that column. A menu should appear on the right, displaying all the data that has been successfully imported into your Clay Table and is now nested in said column. Hover over any data in the pop-up menu that you’d like to add to the table, then click on "Add Column" > "Create Column," as shown below: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1273323237/bbf303c85b18df01481c2218c051/CleanShot%2B2024-12-02%2Bat%2B09_05_07-402x.png?expires=1738183500&signature=f9c4dfde4e978bc2c1e63059048dcf6fece976a52690f8ec97610971397b81cc&req=dSIgFcp8noNcXvMW1HO4zcG9yQv5BTsgXwcE7gQ0U7JBKA%3D%3D%0A This should add the desired results to your Clay table.
I can’t do the entire object? this is pretty tedious
We do this because otherwise the whole table would reach the limit immediately of 70 rows, this actually allows you to pick what information you want, without forcing you to use up all the column for information you do not want. Also, once you add the column it autmatically populates for all rows!
Sorry, I’m just asking if I can simply make reference to the object itself, not the underlying fields
It would only use 1 field if i could pull the entire object over table to table
far more efficient
it looks like it can’t copy the field to the end of the table either so i’ll need to rearrange with every copy and paste which is suboptimal
For example, I need every column here in the other table and I have enrichments that make use of the entire object. It would be considerably easier to just pull in the entire object then allow me to parse as needed in the receiving table as opposed to decomposing the entire object in the source table then pulling fields over 1 by 1
Bump
Hey there Christopher thanks for reaching out, jumping in for Stefano here, what is the other table in this work book where you are trying to pull this value?
Hey there - just wanted to check in here to see if you needed anything else! Feel free to reply back here if you do.
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
