Hey how can I import data from two different sources from company table to people table and avoiding deleting data from 1 source when new data is mapped into same columns ? Check this loom: https://www.loom.com/share/089c7684990c4b6ea3e2ed100c2357bc
👋 Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch within 24 hours (often sooner!). If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Hey Sam, thanks for reaching out! 😊 It looks like things aren’t actually being removed, but rather the data is coming from two different sources. In your video, you first used the “Find People” enrichment and extracted columns from it, then added data from another source on top of those columns. This is why you’re seeing gray triangles (indicating outdated data), and it’s not linking all the columns correctly. To avoid this, I recommend using a blank table to send all the data you need from all source tables. Instead of doing: Table 1 -> Find People Try: Table 1 + Find People -> Blank Table This way, you won’t run into source issues, and all the data will map correctly without overwriting or missing columns. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need further clarification. 😊
Recorded a quick video for you here :) https://cln.sh/X5r1HScr
So there will be two people tables at the end ?
And there is no way to have the data in 1 table without overwriting a source?
No - S you’ll have: 1. Your People’s table with the source data. 2. A blank table to hold all the results you want. This is where your table will merge This way, you won’t overwrite the source data in the People’s table, and you’ll avoid affecting dynamic columns. Let me know if you need further help with the setup! 👍
Yeah man I will likely need help with the setup, can you set this up for me please ? I will appreciate it a LOTT! The voice in your video is not that clear.
Great! Let me know: 1. Which table you want to use the data from 2. What exactly you want to merge (specific columns, data, etc.). Once I have that info, I’ll guide you through the process! 😊⬤
I want to use data from SaaS companies table:
2. And the data and columns that I want to pass to is in the write to ads trigger enrichment. You can see all specific columns and data in this enrichment. See attached screenshot. 3. The end table will look like the People - Ad Trigger table
Got it! Here’s how to do it: 1. Create a New Table: Instead of sending data to the “People - Ad Trigger Table”, create a new table and call it “Table Clay”. 2. Send Data to “Table Clay”: • First, send the SAAS company data to “Table Clay”. • Next, send the data from “People - Ad Trigger Table” to “Table Clay” as well. This way, all your results will be consolidated into the “Table Clay” without affecting the original “Find People” table or leaving gaps. Let me know if this works for you or if you need further clarification! 😊
The idea of this workflow is all companies that have the ad-copy field filled out all of their people from both source gets imported into ads-trigger people. We will have different triggers like, if the Ad-Copy is empty and ICP check is Yes then people from those companies go to a different table. I will create those later but same process can be repeated like we will do for this one
Ok so apollo source goes into people trigger and then from that table to new table ? How, using another write to table enrichment or how ?
No, here’s how it works: 1. SaaS Data → New Table (“Table Clay”) 2. Apollo Data → New Table (“Table Clay”) 3. People - Ad Trigger Table → New Table (“Table Clay”) Your central table will not be the “People - Ad Trigger Table” anymore. Instead, you’ll create and use the new table (“Table Clay”) as the central hub, where you will handle all enrichments. All the data (from SaaS, Apollo, and People - Ad Trigger) will be sent to this new table using the Write to Table function, just like you’ve done before. Here’s a Loom video for more clarity: Loom Video. It’s better to do the triggers in “Table Clay” to keep everything consistent and organized to not have gaps because you,re dealing with multiple different sources inside of one table Let me know if this helps! 😊
Hey Bo (. thanks for the loom video however I dont think its much relatable or if I understood it correctly. I am recording this one for you for my tables, kindly watch and let me know what you suggest. https://www.loom.com/share/b4e72713599949eeb30956bc8a9fc770
