When using Serper.dev with our Google Maps scraping feature, we primarily use cities to find local businesses. Our template allows you to add a list of cities where you want to discover businesses.
However, we also have data points for both city and zip code locations. This suggests that you can use either method, depending on your specific needs and the level of granularity you're looking for in your search.
If you want to explore more specific areas within a city, you might consider using zip codes. But for a broader search, using city names is typically sufficient and more straightforward.
Anyone having issues for incorrect locations being found when using Serper? I have set location =“Munich, Bavaria, Germany” and i do get results from 300km away or even also another country.
Hi Anjan,
I would try exploring this directly inside the Serper app where you can test things out.
You might find a different way to get this working. If you're still uncertain, I recommend reaching out to Serper directly.
Let me know if you need anything else.
