trying to understand Claygent's capabilities and limits within Linkedin world -- why is it able to extract contact level info such as work experience but I found it unable to look for company level info?
Claygent can extract both contact-level and company-level information from LinkedIn, but they're handled through different processes. For individuals, we use the "Enrich Person" feature, which retrieves comprehensive details from LinkedIn profiles. This includes work experience, education, and other personal data. For company-level information, we have a separate "Enrich Company" action. This uses a company's LinkedIn URL or domain to gather organizational details. If you're not seeing company-level info, it might be because you're using a person-focused enrichment tool. To get company data, make sure you're using the appropriate company enrichment feature in Clay.
im not looking for enrichment, im trying to use Claygent (with GPT 4o mini) to go on Company Linkedin and look for info
Claygent with GPT-4o mini isn't designed to directly scrape or retrieve company-level information from LinkedIn. Instead, we have specific features for company data enrichment: 1. For company data, use the "Enrich Company" action. This requires a company LinkedIn URL, domain, or Sales Navigator URL as input. 2. Claygent is primarily designed for person-level data enrichment, like finding social profiles or work emails. 3. For company-level info, consider using integrations like "Enrich Company with Companies, People, Jobs" which pulls data from various sources, including company social profiles. If you need more specific company data from LinkedIn, you might need to use a different tool or integration within Clay.
okay, if that's the case, does this tell me if the company has offshore/remote employees?
Yes, we have a feature that can help you find information about a company's international or remote employees. Our "Find International Employees" template is designed for this purpose. This template uses a company's domain to search for information about their international workforce. While Claygent itself doesn't directly provide this information, you can use our pre-built templates in combination with our data enrichment tools to gather such insights. If you need more specific data or assistance with using these features, please let me know, and I can guide you further.
when Claygent conduct research via contact Linkedin profile or company Linkedin profile, is it loading the pages via public pages or is it logged in on the back end
Claygent accesses LinkedIn profiles as public pages, not through a logged-in session. It can locate and extract information from LinkedIn profiles using minimal input variables, such as a person's name and company. This approach allows Claygent to gather publicly available data like work experience, awards, and summaries without requiring LinkedIn authentication. For more comprehensive data from Sales Navigator, we use third-party providers, but this is separate from Claygent's standard LinkedIn profile research capabilities.
can i see Company Linkedin "people" tab? What's the best way (if it's possible) to use Claygent to find people that are not covered or exist inside of Clay's Find People feature?
Claygent can't directly access LinkedIn's "People" tab or scrape company profiles. However, we have alternative methods to find people: 1. Use our "Find People" feature, which searches based on company data, job titles, and more. 2. For individuals not on LinkedIn, try these sources: • Google Maps for local business leads • GitHub for engineering contributors • Our Chrome Extension to scrape any website, These methods can help you find people beyond Clay's standard LinkedIn-based search. Hey team, dont have table for this. But im trying to figure out ways to look for people that Clay Find People misses -- like key titles like CEO, CRO, etc. What's the best way to do this?
Here's a video showing you how to find more people at these companies: https://cln.sh/pHgLKqxZ Step by step: 1. Run a lookup in your people table to spot missing values 2. Click "add enrichment" (top right) 3. Pick Claygent > Select GPT 4o 4. Create a metaprompter: "Find me the {roles} at {company} who are currently working there - I need their linkedin.com/in URL, full name and job title. Get as many as possible. Leave empty if none found" 5. Choose JSON output and generate to get results as a list 6. Add a run condition so it only runs when the lookup is empty 7. Use "write to other table" to send new finds to your people table (send: full name, job title, linkedin.com/in URL, and company domain) 8. Then you can enrich them Tip: Feel free to flag missing data via row left-click > leave feedback for our team to fix.
