Using AI to Segment Contacts by Location for Better Outreach

Β·

I'd like to use clay to segment my list by location. In my contact location there are cities listed. I want clay to segment these cities into 3 locations (America, EU or Other). Can I use ai to put whichever city is the closest to one of the above locations? This is so I can have proper sending times adjusted for lead location

We can help you segment your contact list by location using our integrations. Here's how you can approach this: 1. Use the Contact Location - City data point to get city information for your contacts. 2. Leverage our Mapbox integration to calculate distances and normalize geographical data between locations. 3. Use our AI capabilities to categorize cities into America, EU, or Other based on their proximity to predefined reference points. 4. Once segmented, you can adjust sending times for each group. To set this up, you'll need to create a custom workflow in Clay. If you need more detailed guidance on implementing this solution, please ask to speak with a human agent who can provide step-by-step assistance.

To categorize cities using Claygent with Clay's API, you can follow these steps: 1. Set up Claygent in Clay, which is our AI-powered web scraper. 2. Use the "Format Categories Based on Keywords" feature in Clay to categorize your data. 3. Define your categories (America, EU, Other) and corresponding keywords for each. 4. Set up the input as an array of cities to categorize. 5. Define the output schema, including the "clay_category" field which will contain the categorization result. 6. Use the "write to table" feature to output the results. 7. For the Google search and JSON output, you'll need to configure Claygent to perform the search and format the results accordingly. 8. To test on 10 cities, you can limit your input array to 10 entries initially. For specific API integration details, you may need to consult our API documentation or request further assistance.

Hey there Spencer thanks for reaching out and appreciate you jumping in Kushagra. Quick question Spencer, is this list inside of a CSV that you have uploaded to Clay? If so do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look?
