Hi, For some reason, Clay used up most of my credits on a single workbook. I had only updated an existing table, but somehow Clay re-enriched the entire table.
This likely happened because auto-update was enabled on your table. When auto-update is on, Clay automatically enriches any new rows or changes, which can result in unexpected credit usage. To prevent this in the future: ** Turn off auto-update while building your table by going to Run Settings and toggling off the Auto-Update button ** You can also disable auto-update for the entire table by clicking the three dots next to your table name, then selecting "Auto-Update Columns" Test enrichments on a few rows before updating entire tables, and only turn auto-update back on when you're ready to launch.
It was not on auto-update when I did the action
If auto-update was disabled but the entire table still re-enriched, this could happen if you manually ran enrichments on all rows. You're only charged for rows in your current view when running enrichments, so using filtered views can help manage credit usage. Another possibility is toggling auto-update off and on again, which would trigger a run prompt to update all rows. To prevent this, ensure your table isn't running before making changes, and consider using conditional runs in your enrichment column settings to specify when enrichments should run.
It's a bug!
Hey There! Happy to look into this - do you happen to have the link to your workbook so I can take a closer look?
Hey there! I've just checked and it looks like the majority of the credit usage (26.2k) was due to the SimilarWeb enrichment that costs 25 credits per row. Can you share more about what exactly happened leading up to the run?
It's run automatically although the workbook is on not run automatically
Hey there! I've just tested a few additional rows and they didn't appear to auto-run. For context, I'm trying to better understand where the bug occurred. Was the data you pulled in from the webhook? Did you stop updates and then turn off auto-update?
it's turn off all the time, It just run all the rows by itself I didn't touch
Hey There! As a one-time courtesy, I've gone ahead and refunded those 26k credits. Hope this helps!
Thanks very much , appreciated it
Of course!
