Hey, I’ve noticed an inconsistency with email validation results in our table. it’s showing the email in the 'work email' column when it has been validated by a single tool, but if 2-3 validation tools confirm the email, it doesn’t appear in the 'work email' column. why is this happening?
This behavior is likely related to how email validation criteria work across different tools. Here's what's happening: 1. Different validation tools use varying criteria to assess email validity. 2. By default, Clay uses ZeroBounce as the validation service, but the system can work with other providers as well. 3. When emails are validated, the results populate in various provider columns behind the scenes (these columns are hidden by default to keep your table tidy). 4. The waterfall process continues running even after finding an email if that email was found by a data provider but failed the validation check. This is part of Clay's quality control process to ensure you're working with the highest quality data.To investigate this further, you can unhide the validation columns to see how each validator is assessing the emails. This will help you understand why certain emails make it to the final work email column while others don't. Hi Rahul, thanks for reaching out! In the screenshot you've shared, these providers are not the validators but rather the email finders. You're using leadmagic as the email validator. I've just unhid these columns for you so you can follow the logic. The waterfall output will only return providers that have been found and validated.
