I'm trying to sign up for Clay but on your webpage when I tried to create my account but got an error message. I did however get an email from Clay asking me to verify my email address. I did verify my email address and was taken to a login page. But when I try to login I get an error message saying "unable to login" which doesn't give me any information to try to correct the issue, so I'm asking you for help.
Try these troubleshooting steps for the login error: 1. Clear your browser cache and refresh - this resolves most persistent error messages. 2. Log out completely and perform a hard refresh: • Mac: Chrome/Firefox: Cmd + Shift + R, Safari: Cmd + Option + R • PC: Chrome/Firefox/Edge: Ctrl + F5 3. Try logging back in after the hard refresh. 4. If issues persist, try an incognito/private browser window. If you're still unable to login after these steps, you might be set up for Google Authentication instead of password login. Try clicking "Sign in with Google" on the login page if that option is available.
I tried all of the recommended solutions to my login problem except for logging in with Google. I prefer to use my company email to login rather than my gmail address.
Is there any other solution to this problem or am I forced to use my gmail address to sign up for and login to Clay?
Sounds like your account creation went halfway through email got verified but account didn’t fully register. Try this: Go to clay.com, click Log in, and choose Sign in with Google if that’s what you used. If that fails, clear your browser cache or try incognito mode. Still stuck? Message Support@clay.com or drop a note in the Slack support channel they’ll fix it fast. This is usually a backend sync issue and gets resolved quickly once flagged.
I did not use Google to sign in and I've already tried everything else you recommended with no success. I'll wait to see if they are able to resolve this tomorrow.
Hi John, thanks for reaching out to support! I just took a look at your account and it was showing that you r email hadn't been verified yet. I went in a verified it on my end, so you should be good to log in now!
