Excited to Join! Question on People Workflow Automation

Super excited to be here! I've finally convinced my org to subscribe! 🎉 I do have a question though, certain open roles in the company act as a potential intent signal. I’ve set this up in my company table like this: Industry > Companies > Number of [X type of roles]. My next step is to create a people workflow, but I’m hesitant to run it automatically. Is there a way to avoid triggering the 'finding people' table if the Y column was updated in the last 7 days? Thanks in advance for your help!
