Can someone help explain why when I edit the sources in a Clay table that I already ran, the table does not update? For example, I just ran a table to "Find companies" for private schools in a specific area. After I ran it, I realized that I want to exclude companies from a different table. When I click the "Imported Companies" > Sources > Edit Source and then select the table that I want to exclude, it indicates that the total number of companies should decrease from 4,927 down to 3,211 results. When I click "Update table" it loads as if it is going to update and then brings me back to the original table with 4,927 results. I've attached screenshots. It is very frustrating.
Hi Jackson, thanks for reaching out! I understand how this can be a bit confusing. Our team is actively working on dynamic editing for table sources. Currently, table sources are designed so you can add people to a specific table but cannot remove rows. This setup helps prevent accidental deletion of rows where enrichments have already been set up, or credits have been used. For now, if you'd like to narrow down your search, you’ll need to create a new people search. Let me know if you need further assistance!
