Troubleshooting Low Rate Limits with OpenAI API Key in ClayAgent

I am trying to use my own API key with ChatGTP within the ClayAgent but am getting a error message back "The rate limits associated with your OpenAI API key are too low to run this action with the selected model. See "Increasing your limits" here." I know this is most likely a config error on ChatGTP but do you have any idea of what tier I need to get into to not get this message back in Clay?

That's OpenAi limiting your API mate. Not really a Clay issue.

Right but do you have any ideas of where it needs to be to work with Clay.

If you've hit the limit then you just need to wait till it resets, add more credits, or add an API from a second account.

Clay doesn't really require a certain amount it just needs an active API.

Or one that's not currently restricted.

ok, its a new ChatGTP account with money in it. Just not sure why its not enought. Will reach out to them. Thanks!

If it's a new API then OpenAi will limit the amount you can use it till it has some history.

A quick way around it is to sign up for a second one and add it to Clay. Then you can switch between them till they get higher rate limits from OpenAi

yeah, problem is, if I cannot use it, it will never build the history to see usage and grow it.

Yeah I get it. If you're maxing out the limit and still have money on the account then is should be increased quickly. In the meantime you can warm up a second one.

It's an anoying restriction from OpenAI. probably to limit surges on their servers.

My agency has like 4 different account we cycle through and they still have pretty high limits.
