Importing New Contacts into Your Exclusion Table in Clay

I am using 'Find people at company' in Clay and have asked it to exclude people in a table within the workbook. But once I've found my new list, I would like to import those people into the table which was used to exclude. But when I click import, that table doesn't show? None of the tables within the workbook show

When using the "Find people at company" feature, the table you used for exclusions won't appear as an import destination option. This is because Clay creates a new table for your search results rather than allowing you to add to existing tables directly from this feature. To add these people to your exclusion table, you'll need to: 1. First import the results to a new table 2. Then use the "Actions → Import" option from your exclusion table to import from the newly created table This two-step process helps maintain data organization while still allowing you to update your exclusion list.

I've gone to actions in my exclusion table and it won't let me import from a table?

You should be able to import from another table. In your exclusion table, click "Actions" → "Import" and select your data source. If you can't see your other table as an option, you might need to use the "write to table" feature instead to transfer people's data from your results table to your exclusion table.

Hey, When you run "Find people at company" and get your results, you should see an import option. Click "Import to existing table" and it should show all tables in your workbook, including the exclusion table. If you're not seeing the tables listed, try refreshing the page or check if you have the right permissions for those tables. Can you record a quick video showing what you're seeing when you try to import? That'll help me troubleshoot what's blocking the table selection. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hey Bo (. I've just gone back in and it is now showing the excluded table but it wasn't earlier. Was there issues with Clay earlier as I found it was super slow and wouldn't show the table to import to

Hey - that can happen if one tab isn't refreshed after changes are made in another. Sometimes the updates don't sync across tabs right away, which might be why the table didn't appear earlier. I'm curious, do you use any extensions, ad blockers, etc.? Do you see any kind of difference now vs before? How's your Wi-Fi typically? Let me know if it happens again or if you have more questions.

Hey Bo (. - this was actually all being done under 1 tab, with 1GB WIFI. I don't run any ad blockers, just use standard Chrome

Yesterday Clay was being incredibly slow though (Lookup rows, Smartlead lookup) and there were issues I was experiencing like not being able to import to a specific table or Find People not working. Was there a wider issue?

Hey Bo (. - all seems to be working now, the whole Clay platform just seemed really buggy on Tuesday morning. Seems to be working now, I'll be sure to record a video and send it with the table link next time
