What's the best way to check for duplicates in Salesforce before burning credits to find emails?

Best case is you have linkedin profiles

In which case you can do a SF lookup to see if any prospect exists based on that - and if not, conditionally run your email columns

Appreciate the advice. I ended up doing a combo of (name + company name) & LinkedIn URL Adding some type of automatic de-dupe check for Clay would be next level Matthew Q.
