Troubleshooting OpenAI Key Usage Limit in Clay for GPT-4o Mini

Hey there, I'm trying to use my open AI key in Clay. I have purchased tier one which gives me a usage limit of 200,000 TPM for gpt4o mini (which is what im using). However, it says that I have to increase my usage limit to use it, even tho I checked a clay support post which said the minimum is 30,000 TPM. Screenshot Attached

For reliable use of OpenAI in Clay, you need different TPM limits depending on the feature:** 30,000 TPM for ChatGPT columns ** 450,000 TPM for ClaygentIf you're trying to use Claygent, your current tier 1 limit of 200,000 TPM won't be sufficient - you'll need to upgrade to a tier 2 API key to meet the 450,000 TPM requirement. You can upgrade your usage tier by following the instructions at OpenAI's community guide on moving up in usage tiers.

Hi Aaron! Today, Clay requires 30,000 TPM (tokens per minute) for "ChatGPT - Generate Text" columns and 450,000 TPM for Claygent. "ChatGPT - Generate Text" will work with any tier, as long as the API key has access/can be used. To use Claygent*,* a Tier 2 API key from OpenAI will work, as it supports the required TPM rates. You can check your OpenAI API usage or limits following these links: • Usage • Limits Their support team can help if you need to increase your usage limits. I believe you can request a review from the “Usage Limits” page in your OpenAI account settings. Just click on “Need help?”, submit your request, and they’ll review and follow up with you.

I generated my API key before purchasing teir 1. Do I need to regenerate it now with teir 1 to work? Not sure whas wrong as you said any teir will work however teir 1 is saying that its too low (for 4o mini which is what im using)

You don't need to change your API key - but there might be a couple things going on here. 1. If you're using the AI with web research capability, that requires 450k TPM 2. Try using the "Generate Text" option instead, which has lower TPM requirements 3. Double check your OpenAI tier access and make sure you have sufficient tier and if not you can try to prepaid funds for tier 2 if needed to get a higher tier Let me know if you're still seeing issues after trying the Generate Text option!
