Hey team, I've got two questions!
If all I have is a list of company URLs, how accurate is the 'Enrich Company' function? Because I've been having some issues in getting the right LinkedIn Company URL. I did a test with 5 different companies, and 2 of them failed. Here is the clay table -> https://app.clay.com/workspaces/300718/tables/t_X5KVDujBpsBc/views/gv_RoXkCZHDo55U
I understand that Clay has the get recent news function either from Predict Leads or Google News, but the functionality is limited. In my particular use case, I'm trying to find the 2 things:
Most recent news of the company specific to the APAC Region
Most recent interview with a C-Suite within a company (Either via an article or a YouTube video)
Is doing a web search using AI the best way to find the answers for point #2? This is the clay table I've done -> https://app.clay.com/workspaces/300718/tables/t_jco4gmoHiVZF/views/gv_VEW78osbuhsV
Find recent APAC-specific news and C-suite interviews for [Company Name] via Google search using the following Boolean search strings: -APAC-Specific News: "[Company Name]" AND ("Asia Pacific" OR "APAC" OR "Asia") AND (2023 OR 2024) AND ("news" OR "update" OR "announcement" OR "partnership" OR "expansion") This string will help locate recent news specific to the [Company Name]'s activities, partnerships, or expansions in the APAC region. Use this on news-focused search engines or media sites like Google News. -C-Suite Interviews: "[Company Name]" AND ("CEO" OR "COO" OR "CFO" OR "CMO" OR "CTO") AND ("interview" OR "Q&A" OR "discussion" OR "talk") AND (2023 OR 2024) This will help locate recent interviews, either articles or video content, featuring C-suite executives. Adding terms like "interview" or "Q&A" narrows it to conversations, and the date range keeps it recent. -Video-Specific Search (for interviews on platforms like YouTube): "[Company Name]" AND ("CEO" OR "COO" OR "CFO") AND ("interview" OR "conversation" OR "Q&A") AND ("YouTube" OR "video") AND (2023 OR 2024) Use specific news sources or platforms (e.g., YouTube, Bloomberg, or the companyβs site), add site:youtube.com or site:[specific-domain] to get more results. Mix keywords to get more results, e.g., focus on specific roles or topics like "expansion" or "innovation" in APAC.
Hey Adnan, thanks so much for your input! Hey Asher, re your first question, I made a video for you: https://www.loom.com/share/f4ef9742e1df475db13ee2031f2d3034 If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know! π Have a great Wednesday, Daniel
Hey Daniel K., thanks for the help, I thought using claygent to scrape first would be a good idea as well, and thanks for the heads up regarding using my own API key. I'm still in the testing phase, but will use that in time to come. One other question as well If you look at the 5 x URLs, the 4th row is actually wrong as well. The LinkedIn profile fetched is actually not the one based on the URL. Is that something the team can look into? Or is there a fix around that.
Hey Asher, thanks for reaching out! It looks like the Enrich Company Profile is picking up a child company website within the holding company (Kuok Group). This may be due to the original company domain you inserted being slightly off to what they seem to be using as their main website. Try using (https://kuokgroup.com.sg/) instead of (https://www.kuokgroup.com/) when inputting this companies URL into the 'Company Domain' column. I found the former domain by going to the Kuok Group Singapore LinkedIn page found here. Let me know how this goes!
Of course! Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns :)
