Hey Clay S., I want to add an input column/field to an enrichment column. However, it doesn't save that input field in the settings of that enrichment column (see thread).
When adding input fields to an enrichment column, follow these steps:1. In the enrichment settings, make sure you're selecting the correct column names from your Clay table that correspond to the input fields you want to add. 2. If you're experiencing issues with fields not saving, double-check that you're using the exact column names from your Clay table. This is a common cause of "missing input" errors. 3. Even if you don't add the columns during initial setup, the enriched data will still be available and accessible for later use.If you're still experiencing issues with saving input fields, please share a screenshot of your enrichment settings so I can help troubleshoot more specifically. Was that helpful?
Example: I want to populate the 'Background URL' field with a column 'LinkedIn Profile'. Once I save it (which doesn't throw an error) and re-open the settings, it's not saved and the input field is empty again.
If you're experiencing this issue, it's likely related to the column naming in your table. When setting up enrichment fields, make sure you're using the exact column name from your Clay table that contains the LinkedIn Profile URLs. Double-check that the column name "LinkedIn Profile" matches exactly with what's in your table (including spaces and capitalization). If you continue to experience this issue, please share a screenshot of both your table column name and the enrichment settings so I can help troubleshoot more specifically. Did that answer your question?
Thanks! We've reopened this thread. You can continue to add more detail directly in this thread.
Here are the screenshots of the enrichment settings and respective table column name. I picked the input column via the / command, so I doub't it's a spelling error. I have the same issue with another enrichment field and its settings.
I understand this is frustrating. Based on what you've shared and the screenshots, this appears to be a technical issue since you're correctly selecting the column via the / command. Let me help you troubleshoot this:1. First, try refreshing your browser and attempting to save the settings again 2. If that doesn't work, try setting up a new enrichment column from scratch 3. As a workaround, you can also try copying the exact column name and pasting it into the input field instead of using the / commandIf these steps don't resolve the issue, we'll need to investigate this further as it may be a bug in our system. Would you mind trying these steps and letting me know if they help? Source: Push Data To Your Email Sequencer [Clay 101] - Clay University
Is that what you were looking for?
I followed all the steps you outlined. However, I the issue remains. It also happens for other enrichment fields. For instance, here I try to save 'Last Name' but the input field is not populated if I re-open the settings after saving.
Based on your screenshots and description, this appears to be a technical issue with the enrichment settings not persisting properly. Since you've already tried the basic troubleshooting steps (refreshing, recreating the enrichment, and using the / command correctly), I'll need to escalate this to our technical team for investigation.Could you please:1. Note down which enrichment types are affected (e.g., LinkedIn Profile, Last Name) 2. Take a screen recording of the issue occurring if possible 3. Send these details to support@clay.comThis will help us investigate and resolve the issue more quickly. In the meantime, please hold off on making further changes to these enrichment settings.
