I have a list of leads, that i had got emails for outside of clay i also deleted some the leads that werent a good fit. How do i add the emails to the leads in the clay table even if the list is no longer in the same order. Hope that makes sense. The List with the emails in a google sheet
You can import your email list using the following steps:1. Open your existing table with the leads 2. Click Actions > Import > Import Companies From a CSV 3. Upload your file with the emails 4. Select "Add to current table" > Continue 5. Select the email column you want to add 6. Click "Add to table"This will add the email data as a new column to your existing leads, regardless of the order of your lists. Source: Import a File
Will it automatically map based on the name. I don't see how that will work.
During the CSV import process, you'll need to manually map out how the columns in your CSV should align with the columns in your Clay table. Clay doesn't automatically match emails to leads based on names - instead, you'll need to specify which columns from your CSV correspond to which fields in your Clay table during the mapping step. When your CSV is uploaded, Clay will show all the columns from your file, and you'll have the flexibility to:** Modify column names to match Clay's format ** Delete unnecessary columns * Rearrange the order of your data Sources: Table sources overview | Documentation | Clay University Import CSV [Clay 101] - Clay University

Hi hanad, thank you for reaching out. The way you would do this is by first uploading the csv of the emails you found outside of Clay into Clay. Once you have the .csv, you will be able to upload it into a table using the following steps. First, under "Add Table" select "Import from CSV", as shown below: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1266770727/ab2c37928bf3b5701a1203947452/CleanShot%2B2024-11-26%2Bat%2B13_54_16-402x.png?expires=1736757900&signature=e21167d3f95f1b624bd8876d42f96d100a4450e2c18a34178a742de624c79803&req=dSIhEM55nYZdXvMW1HO4zT37RKN6QKJ07B0eCrjMvmVUxw%3D%3D%0A This will open a menu where you can either select or drag and drop your desired CSV file, as shown below: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1266770725/a06bc151df32125a85acc771fe2e/CleanShot%2B2024-11-26%2Bat%2B13_51_39-402x.png?expires=1736757900&signature=89be8c163c808da6f722ddb3431f9ee1ca60c66b4424174d372b1cfcb28f53e7&req=dSIhEM55nYZdXPMW1HO4zTk0U0IyiLpkpWQyRjKe0Nw5qA%3D%3D%0A Once you've selected the file, click on "Continue," then choose either "New blank table" to add it to a new table, or "Add to existing table" if you want to add it to an existing table. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1266770724/ff9e9aa00f578e0d74bae851b9a7/CleanShot%2B2024-11-26%2Bat%2B13_55_30-402x.png?expires=1736757900&signature=d2bbb5c1bec071f5d9c7d4762f1bd64700c1f7c932a911f2e1a554486501b996&req=dSIhEM55nYZdXfMW1HO4zUo8WAJXglnychof%2FQJu1zN3Jg%3D%3D%0A After selecting one of the two options, click on "Complete Import." This will either create a new table with the contacts or add the contacts to an existing table.
After this, you will have to go back in the Clay table containing the contacts (not the one you have just uploaded) and use our "Lookup Single Row Command". To then search for the email in the other table and see what emails correspond to what person. I will be happy to help you set this up once you upload your csv file!
I understand but i have slight issue in the new table i had a few contacts that share same first name. So i'll need to do a multiple criteria lookup i.e. "First name" and "Company domain"
