Hey, just wondering if Clay is able to help me scrape number of interactions and people who interact with a LinkedIn post? thanks
Hi Binh, thanks for getting in touch! yes you can:
But for specific names you will need to use the Clay chrome extension
e.g this is the post I want to scrape https://www.linkedin.com/posts/global-shares_free-for-up-to-100-stakeholders-activity-7120069102164975616-vAbd/
sure, you can check this: https://www.clay.com/learn/map-a-website-with-the-clay-chrome-extension
can you check with the post i have? it seems not able to capture it
it's an ads post btw
Hey Binh!! Thanks for the follow-up. LinkedIn tends to do a good job at blocking scrapers now and then, but I re-mapped the extension so it could collect the reaction list once you open it. Let me know if you can see them and scrape them now.

sorry, maybe because I am very new to the platform, how to get the same as what you got?
here's what I got so far but my manual selection was not the best
sure, check this please: https://www.loom.com/share/2db7e3f812324812b1a88ef8cdae27d7
fanstastic. I see what you meant now. I did not notice that you make the list of users pop up. However, if in my case, how can I automate all of this, e.g. I have a list of different posts to scrape, is there a different way to automate the whole thing? The URL is not super standardized though
also, in a post with fewer interactions, like this https://www.linkedin.com/posts/global-shares_take-the-complexity-out-of-your-share-pl[โฆ]15858020352-KFXM/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop, it's not possible to get the user list pop out
automating this would require pantombuster or apify
yes, its possible, just click the like button
Hey!! Yes, I can confirm that the steps Juan mentioned in the video work with any post. And to add a bit more context as to why our extension can't be automated it's because we haven't given it an update recently. However, the team is working on it and may soon have some improved features; for now, those alternatives that Juan also mentioned could be automated.
ah ok I see, thank you for your answer
