Using Ocean.io for Company Enrichment: Combining Data in One Column

·
·

Hi, question about the Ocean.io enrichment. How does it work if I'm using it within an exsiting table? I want to pull new companies, not have it have anything to do with the 329 companies already on this list. I see it's going to give the results in a separate column. What I'm trying to do is build on my list of 329 companies, using Ocean.io to find similar companies. How do I make it so it compiles all the company names/domains in the same column. Is there a way or am I better off creating a new table with Ocean.io as the source The reason I wanted it all in the same list, and all data in the same column, is I need to dedupe on the "domain", column so that I'm not pulling or enriching the same company more than once.

Also, when I tried to run it I'm getting this error, I'm not sure what the error explanation means. https://app.clay.com/workspaces/310596/tables/t_MeuQnFSRvMSn/views/gv_wd8zwT3ysnBe

Hey, thanks for reaching out! 😊 1. To achieve what you’re aiming for, I recommend starting a new search using Ocean.io as the source. Here’s how: • Create a new Table/Workbook and use Ocean.io to find similar companies based on the domains you already have. • If you don’t already have a list of domains, you’ll need to use them as a comma-separated list to exclude existing ones from the new search. This can be done by pasting your domains inside of ChatGPT 2. Run that search, and it will bring in new results into a separate table. If you try running the search within your existing table, it will only check the domain of the specific row and not take all 329 companies into account when excluding domains. Regarding the error, it likely means the request size is too large for our system to handle in one go. I’d recommend trying again with a smaller request to avoid this issue. Let me know if you need any further help! 👍
