Yes, you can use Find People without referencing a list of companies at all. You could apply the different filters to narrow it down

It didn't let me do it without choosing a company

Ah, it may be confusing but if you click on Find people while inside a table it will try to use/reference companies. It's easier to go to home -> new table -> Find People instead

then you can import into an existing table

But I already have a list of people. Can't I enrich it the same way?

Sorry, could you clarifyβ€” based on the initial question it seemed you were trying to find people, right? but if you just need to enrich them then I'd use the corresponding integration

I mean, I have this table: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/221499/tables/t_5D1DTizMVMeK/views/gv_8PslIuLLfDum I want to search these people on linkedin, as simple as that πŸ™‚

Got it, so it sounds like you're trying to enrich them then. Let me take a look to check the setup and recommend options

Hmm, without much context other than their name, the search will likely be too ambiguous. We have an integration called Find & Enrich LinkedIn from Google Search, which would combine google plus enriching a person's profile, but it could potentially return the wrong profile.

I don't think it can identify images so, it would have to narrow it down to just the name, unfortunately.

I would like to get the results, even if multiple profiles match, and then feed them to AI to choose the most suitable profile using some human logic I will give him

I think that's a common scenario that is probably supported honestly

Okay, so this is the integration that could potentially help with that, but can only return the first match. The other integrations require a company identifier.

Why can't I just utilize the normal linkedin search without a company, and get all the results?

Also, it logged me out for some reason and I'm unable to find the email I used for that account, can you tell me the email?

Which one (integration or feature)? Find People? it doesn't work as a column where you can dynamically reference values from a column. That would only work when you're trying to reference companies. I think the main reason why that is it's because it would be too ambiguous and decided it was not worth

There is a workaround though. You could convert the list of names as CSV and then add that as input instead. Like so:

ok got it, great! Two more questions

    1. 1.

How do I convert the table to a list of comma seperated people?

    2. 2.

Is there a way to also have the images go with me to the resulted table?

    Β·

I'd just run the search outside of the table, that's why it'll be easier to convert the names into a CSV text you can copy/paste into that field instead

When you use Find People inside a table it will always try to reference a column so it's easier to navigate since that's the most common use case

Alright, but how do I take the images with me to the output table?

You could always use a lookup to cross match the names after you cleaned them up

Okay, let me break it down in steps so it's a bit better to picture the workflow:

  • Avatar of Clay T.
    Clay T.
    APP
    Β·
    Β·

    1. get the names in CSV format. Example: name1, name2, name3...2. From New Table -> Find People -> Paste the names in the corresponding field as shown in the screenshot above. 3. Import the results to a new table so you can analyze them and potentially find the right person: -> if you need the image in this new list, you can use the Lookup Row integration to cross-match the name column from table 1 with the name column from table 2, then you can extract the image into the new table.

Where's the original table? looks like you cross-matched against the same one here, so table 2 against table 2 πŸ˜…

  • Avatar of Guy M.

    Β·

No, in one coloumns I matched with the same one just to count number of repeations

The is the peopple's coloumn, see the last coloumn "image lookup" https://app.clay.com/workspaces/221499/tables/t_lwJiAn3rwsSU/views/gv_YUj6AvRHbgUY

thanks, but I need to match them lowercased

Then I'd use a formula in a new column to change them to lowercase in both tables then match against that new column

    ohh a formula, I used a lookup

You'd need both, if you want to cross-match between tables, that's the lookup's job.Use the formula generator to clean up or format other columns: https://www.loom.com/share/bbb329dcf708442b9abbdf26e870f596
