Hi there, I am working on my company search (Find companies) and set my criteria. Now I would like to copy the source criteria to another table. (I want to search for the same kind of companies but for a different region and dont want to mix up the topics as they serve different purposes). How can I copy the source description?
To copy source criteria from one table to another for your company search in Clay, you can follow these steps: 1. Open the table with the source you want to copy. 2. Click on the Source Column to open the Source column menu. 3. Select "Sources" and click on the source you want to copy. 4. Click "Edit source" in the panel that opens. 5. Note down the search criteria, toggles, and filters. Then, to add this source to another table: 1. Open the target table. 2. Click "Actions" in the top-right menu and select "Import". 3. In the "Add Source" panel, select the same data source. 4. Configure the source using the criteria you noted earlier. 5. Review and import the data into your table. This method allows you to replicate your search criteria across tables.
Im stuck at adding source to another table. when I work on "Find people at these companies" I get the option "import to new table" or "import to existing table". With company search it only says "update table"
When using the "Find companies" feature, you can add the source to another table by following these steps: 1. In your workbook, click "+ Add" at the bottom. 2. Search for and select the "Find companies" source. 3. Configure your search parameters for the companies you want to find. 4. When you're ready to import, you'll have the option to add to an existing table or create a new one. 5. Choose "Add to existing table" and select the desired table. If you don't see these options, try starting the process from the workbook level rather than within an existing table. This should give you more flexibility in choosing the destination table.
I want to use the search parameters for companies of another search I did in the past and not manually change them again
To reuse search parameters from a previous company search in Clay: 1. Go to your table and click on the Source Column. 2. Select "Sources" from the menu. 3. Click on the source you want to reuse. 4. In the individual source panel, click "Edit source". 5. Here, you can view and modify the existing search criteria, toggles, or filters. 6. Make any necessary adjustments to tailor the search to your current needs. 7. Click "Submit" to save changes and re-run the source with the updated configuration. This process allows you to efficiently reuse and modify previous search parameters without starting from scratch.
I dont want to modify the parameters. I want to use the same parameters in a second different company search

Click on "Actions" and select "Find Company." 3. In the search interface, you'll see your previous search parameters already populated. 4. You can now modify any parameters if needed or keep them as is. 5. Set a new limit for the number of results if desired. 6. Click "Preview Company" to see the new results. 7. If satisfied, click "Import" to bring the results into a new or existing table. This method allows you to easily replicate or refine your previous search without manually re-entering all the parameters.
Hey Katharina - we don't currently support copying the search parameters from one source to another - can you help me understand your larger use case here? I may be able to help get you sorted with a workaround.
