Identifying Software Companies Implementing GPT-4 Features Beyond GenAI-first

·
·

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to identify software companies that have GenAI features? Not looking for companies that are GenAI-first, but rather have been around for a while and are implementing products/features using GPT-4 endpoints (so LinkedIn company keyword searches are returning a lot of noise). I tried using the tech-stack waterfall but could only find GPTBot Disallow which is OpenAI's product to exclude a website from scraping they do for their models.

This is a good one, Greg! To start a list based on that, not sure if there are any data providers who'd have a filter to apply here. Else, if you can start list with other criteria then you could use Claygent to check those companies out and with a proper definition of what you're looking for, you could get a True or False statement.

Thanks Arturo O.! I had a feeling that would be where I'd end up, but just wanted to sanity check before I ran a big list 🙂

I ran a quick Google search and a few sites came up with a list of companies, like https://builtin.com/companies/type/generative-ai-companiesYou could scrape them to get started but not sure if they're filtered out properly or if these sites just categorized them with basic information without deeper analysis which could also be a thing.

This was really helpful! Thank you

I would look to see if any of their features pages mention genai and they were started before 2023

Thanks Kareem Amin I attempted a Google search with ‘inurl:”/product/“|inurl:”/platform/“ “OpenAI”|”gpt” ’ etc. I didn’t get great results, but I was trying to start with an already narrowed/qualified list. I think I’m going to have to do what you and Arturo suggested and just use broad macro filters for the company list, and then send Claygent after the company websites to see if there’s mention of GenAI features.
