Hey guys, is anyone having issues with Clay Agent not researching LinkedIn profiles? https://www.loom.com/share/bec840524fb1412f855e76d17e218a35
We don't have specific information about current issues with Clay Agent researching LinkedIn profiles. However, we can use our internal models (Clayagent) to ask specific things about LinkedIn profiles, such as determining if a person works for a B2B or B2C company. Additionally, we offer various sources for list building, including options beyond LinkedIn. You can use our Chrome Extension to scrape websites and kickstart your list building online. If you're experiencing persistent issues, please provide more details about the problem you're encountering. If you need further assistance, you can request to talk to a person for more in-depth support.
Claygent, our built-in AI research tool, can be used to find information about LinkedIn profiles. However, it's not the only option we offer for retrieving LinkedIn data. We have several alternatives: 1. Social Posts feature: Find recent professional posts from specific individuals. 2. Enrich Person from Profile: This feature retrieves comprehensive details using LinkedIn URLs or User IDs. 3. Third-party integrations: We offer various data providers like Datagma, Dropcontact, and People Data Labs that can help enrich LinkedIn profile data. 4. Sales Navigator integration: Import up to 2,500 results from your Sales Navigator searches. Each option has its strengths, so the best choice depends on your specific needs. If you need more guidance on which option to use, let me know and I can provide more details.
DMED you an enrichment api end point which you can use
We offer several options for enriching data from LinkedIn profiles: 1. "Enrich Person from Profile" action: Use a LinkedIn URL or User ID to retrieve comprehensive details about an individual. 2. "Enrich Person with Companies, People, and Jobs" action: Enrich a person's data using their LinkedIn URL or User ID. 3. Snov.io integration: Enrich person data from a LinkedIn URL. 4. Prospeo integration: Find work emails and enrich person data using a LinkedIn profile URL. To use these, add the LinkedIn enrichment in your Clay table by clicking "Add enrichment" and selecting the desired option. You'll need to provide the LinkedIn URL or User ID as input.
Just wondering if its something new that is not allowing clay agent to retrieve the data from people Linkedin URls As you can see in the video there is a table which previously run the Linkedin contact analysis a couple of weeks ago, and today is not running anymore. We do lots of emails personalizing whats on the prospect’s linkedin profile, so this changes things… Anyone facing similar issues? I’m down to tray other avenues using clay credits, but would definetely be much more costly than Open AI API
We don't have specific information about a new issue preventing Clay Agent from retrieving LinkedIn data. However, we offer several alternatives for enriching LinkedIn profile data: 1. Enrich Person from Profile: Use LinkedIn URLs or User IDs to get comprehensive details. 2. Third-party integrations: We have various data providers like Datagma, Dropcontact, and People Data Labs for LinkedIn data enrichment. 3. Social Posts feature: Find recent professional posts from specific individuals. These options can help you continue personalizing emails based on LinkedIn profiles. If you're still experiencing issues, we'd need more details about the specific problem you're encountering. Can you provide more information about when you last successfully used the LinkedIn contact analysis and any error messages you're seeing now?
Hi Jose, thank you for reaching out. To achieve this, you can use our "Enrich Person From Profile" feature. Simply go to "Add Column" > "Add Enrichment", then search for "Enrich Person from Profile" as demonstrated below.
From the menu that appears, ensure that the "LinkedIn URL" column is selected under "Social Profile Identifier," as shown below:
Next, click "Continue to add fields." In the menu that appears, toggle on any information you want to display as its own column in your Clay table. For example, in the screenshot below, I am selecting the number of followers per LinkedIn profile.
After that, click "Save," and the columns should appear in your table. You can then use the information extracted to create a new email. Let me know if this works for you!
Yep, I'm currently getting skewed as well from this. I ran this yesterday worked perfect - today not working at all.
Hey Jose, Claygent relies on publicly available online data, so if the info isn’t indexed or accessible, it won’t be able to pull it. It’s also not able to access social media, since those platforms require session cookies, which Claygent doesn’t use. Let me know if you have more questions
It was actaully able to do this prior to friday of last week
Yeah, this was an overnight change for sure. This was an overnight change. So, by the end of last week, the Clay Agent wasn’t able to get information from the LinkedIn profiles. It seems like LinkedIn got a little bit more aggressive with the cookie-less browsers, or the browsers that have no header. And so it wouldn’t allow these type of browsers, which is what Clay Agent uses, to scrape, to get information, like to see anything, essentially, to see anything inside the LinkedIn profiles. But then yesterday, Sunday, it started working again, and I believe still working. So, my assumption is that either Clay found the way to work around this, or LinkedIn saw a problem with the firewall or security that they put up, and they had to either cut it down, remove it completely, or something. But right now, it’s working. Please, if anyone can verify that it’s working, it’s working from my end, still using GPT, let me know.
lets hope it stays like that 😉
What kind of information are you trying to get from the linkedIn profiles? Is that something publicly available or something that is visible only after logging in into LinkedIN? I work on thousands of LI profiles everyday, so really curious
its been fine so far
Then perhaps Linkedin had to lower their firewalls, or security, maybe it affected other aspects…
Great for us and hopefully it stays this way
