Hey guys! I wanted to use an AI function to analyze data from columns and aggregate it. However, the message 'Some inputs missing' appears, even though the missing inputs are helpful but not strictly necessary for every column. How can I fix this?
To fix the "Some inputs missing" error, you need to adjust the Required to Run toggle in your AI prompt editor. Steps to resolve: 1. Open the Prompt Editor for your AI enrichment 2. Find the field causing the error 3. Toggle off Required to Run next to that field 4. Save your prompt configuration When Required to Run is enabled, the AI skips cells if the referenced field is empty. By disabling this toggle for non-essential fields, your AI function will run even when those inputs are missing.
The 'Only Run if' field is empty for me. The columns to be used were written into the prompt – they should also be included in the function if data is available. The problem, however, is that when data is missing in individual columns, the function doesn't run at all and returns an error message.
To run your AI function even with missing data, use the "Only run if" setting in Run Settings instead of Required to Run toggles. Steps: 1. Open your AI enrichment's Run Settings 2. Click "Only run if" 3. Set a condition that allows the function to run when at least some data is present (e.g., when any of your key columns contain data) 4. Use conditional formulas to define when the enrichment should execute This approach lets you control exactly when the AI runs based on your data availability requirements, rather than requiring all referenced fields to have data.
I adjust it, but the function still doesn't run, if the data in some rows/columns is missing.
Hey, Click on the enrichment tokens you’ve added using the forward slash, then toggle off “Required to run.” That’ll let the AI function run even if some inputs are missing. Thanks, that already helped me a lot! I have one more question: I want to compare two columns – one contains the competencies of the leads, the other the requirements from the job postings. The goal is to create a score-based matching. My idea was to first use the Lookup function to pull one column into the other table, then use Write to Other Table to create a new table with all combinations and overlaps, and finally let the AI calculate the score. However, the Lookup function isn’t working as expected – it either doesn’t pull in any data or can’t be properly configured. Do you know what might be causing this?
Hello Hai! Thanks for reaching out again. Glad what Bo recommended helped! Can you send the table link URL and I can take a look!
