hi there! wanted to report a small bug i ran into when trying to find local businesses via google maps! ive attached my outcome vs the desired outcome -- turns out i only needed to refresh the page, but everything else on clay was working fine so i didnt think to do this at first. i thought i'd report since this led me to think i needed a more complicated solution, such as connecting a google maps api, etc. hoping by sharing this it avoids future hiccups! cc: Izzy
Thanks for reporting this! You're absolutely right that refreshing the page resolved the issue. This is a known solution for interface loading problems in Clay.
When you encounter missing input fields or disabled buttons in modals, a hard refresh typically fixes it. For future reference: Mac users can press Cmd + Shift + R (Chrome/Firefox) or Cmd + Option + R (Safari), while PC users should press Ctrl + F5.
This type of interface issue can also occur with performance considerations when multiple actions are running simultaneously, and a hard refresh is the recommended troubleshooting step. Your feedback helps us identify these patterns!

Hey team for viz here, I got two comments like this just today from Clay Cohort students and have noticed this on my end as well
Thanks for flagging this pattern! When interface elements like input fields or buttons don't load properly in modals, a hard refresh typically resolves it:
Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R
Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
You can also clear your browser cache and refresh the view to resolve persistent interface issues.
Since you're seeing this across multiple Clay Cohort students, documenting these instances helps us identify common patterns and improve the user experience.
