Hello, I have a question I would like to clarify. When we search for leads in Clay using the “find people” source and set a limit on the number of people per company, what criteria does Clay use to choose these people? In other words, if there are three people available and I set a limit of one person per company, what criteria does Clay use to choose this person?
The documentation doesn't specify the exact criteria Clay uses to select which person is chosen when there are multiple people available and you set a limit per company.
The system allows you to set limits on results per company, but the selection logic for which specific individuals are prioritized isn't detailed in our current resources.
What specific job titles or seniority levels are you targeting in your search - this might help me point you toward the best filtering options to get the right contacts?
If you need more help understanding how Clay selects people within your search limits, I’m here to assist. Would you like to provide more details about the job titles or seniority levels you’re targeting?
I am launching cold email campaigns for my client, a recruiter interested in contacting area managers at engineering companies with open vacancies. I am interested in knowing how I can find the right person to contact.
For finding area managers at engineering companies, use our Find People feature with these filters:
Job Title: Search for "area manager" or use job functions like "management" to catch similar titles [1]
Company attributes: Filter by engineering industry and company size that matches your target profile
Experience: Filter by current role duration (maybe 6+ months to find established managers) and include keywords like "team management" or "operations" in experience descriptions [2]
Location: Set geographic boundaries matching where your client recruits
The system automatically includes similar job titles and synonyms, so searching "area manager" will also return related management roles
