Any way to find companies that have a specific content in their page source / javascript at scale?
It usually shows up as an image at the bottom of websites (in this case treatment centers). To find this info I’ll right click a homepage, inspect, and control F to find “legitscript”. The idea is that if any of the domains contains this in their homepage, we’d want to target them. Here’s an example website: https://applegaterecovery.com/locations/tennessee/selmer/
There are two ways to approach this: 1. Use ChatGPT: Analyze the image, ask it to take a screenshot, and then analyze if “legitscript” is present. 2. Scrape the Website: Then use a formula generator to check for a file name “legitscript.” Both methods should work well, but I personally recommend the second option.
Bo (. When you say scrape the website, would I be able to scrape the actually code in the website? Could you send me a quick loom of how you would set this up for https://applegaterecovery.com/locations/tennessee/selmer/ for example?
Hi Pierre, thanks for reaching out. I can follow up on what Bo suggested above - I would experiment with setting up the GPT image processing column. Here's how I would set this up for your specific use case. This approach may take some prompt fine tuning to obtain reliable results: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1169115244/3da086e3efd8df11b671dd91/CleanShot+2024-09-04+at+16_53_18.gif?expires=1725485400&signature=63fd15dfbccbc8aecbbdad8bff68e87486eb627a4531bf770677744ba984825c&req=dSEhH8h%2FmINbXfMW1HO4zQK%2Bs500v1MWySUqxjOHF%2Ff1ZWCg9lNPANSz%2BXAO%0AdqHJ%0A I hope this was helpful. It’s in the “Source Code”. If you right click and inspect the link above and look for “LegitScript”
You will find it
Hi Pierre, if you're trying to find specific attributes in the websites you're trying to find the Legitscript attribute for, you can try using Clay's Chrome extensions. Here's where you can get the extension. You can use the extension on any list you find, which you may want to import to clay, when browsing the internet. Here's a videoshowing you how you can build Clay tables using the extension. I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
