Can You Call Clay API to Enrich Data from External Apps?

Am looking at https://docs.clay.com/en/articles/9672489-http-api-with-clay to figure out if we can Call Clay from an external application - pass in some data (eg a LinekdIn URL) - and then get back the enriched data Anyone know if this is possible?

Hi Ian, thanks for reaching out and great question! Clay currently does not have a public API to call Clay from an external application. Rather, our HTTP API enrichment enables you to call external applications that do not have native integrations with Clay into your table! Could you share more about the external application you're looking to call from and what enriched data you're looking for? Happy to see if there's a workaround we can use here! 😊

Got it! 😊 So yes, the best way is to send the data in using a webhook, proceed with the enrichment, and then send it back using an HTTP API. It works similarly to how we handle it—they would receive the data through theirwebhooks. Let me know if you need help setting this up! 👍
