I need help with Clay in setting up find companies table for "Animal Health" industry. I dont see that industry in find companies. When i select Veterinary or Veterinary services then i get Vet practices in return that i dont want to include. What i am looking for is companies that are working in Animal health but excluding the Vet practices. to include can be Health Tech for animals, Pharmaceuticals (Animal), Animal goods manufacturing, Services, tech related to Animal Health
Since "Animal Health" isn't a preset industry, you have a few options:
Option 1: Use keywords instead of industry filters
Skip the industry selection entirely
Use "Keywords to include": "animal health", "veterinary pharmaceuticals", "pet health technology", "animal nutrition"
Use "Keywords to exclude": "veterinary practice", "vet clinic", "animal hospital"
Option 2: Try our natural language search
Go to "Add Table" > "Find Companies with Natural Language"
Type something like: "Animal health companies excluding veterinary practices, including pharmaceuticals, health tech, and manufacturing for animals" [1]
Option 3: Combine multiple industries
Select broader industries like "Pharmaceuticals", "Healthcare Technology", "Manufacturing"
Then use keywords to narrow down to animal-focused companies [2]
The keyword approach usually works best for niche industries like yours since it gives you more control over what gets included/excluded.
Was that helpful?
those keywords will be added in the description part?
Yes, exactly! The keywords you add in "Keywords to include" and "Keywords to exclude" search through the company's description/profile text.
Did that answer your question?
If you need any more help setting up your find companies table or refining your keyword filters, I’m here to assist. Would you like to provide more details about what you’re trying to achieve or any challenges you’re facing?
I am trying the Option 2 but it is failing and says Something went wrong even after multiple attempts
First, try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page - this often resolves persistent error messages.
Since Find AI is in beta, try different wordings for your query. Instead of your current search, try something like "animal health technology companies excluding veterinary clinics" or break it into smaller, more specific searches. [1]
Before we dig deeper, I'd recommend trying Sculptor (the AI tool in the top-right corner) - it can help you build tables and troubleshoot issues like this.
If that doesn't work, can you share the exact error message you're seeing? You can click into the specific cell where the error appears to get more details.
