Hey, I need to trigger a stop sequence for a few tools (smartlead, lemlist, heyreach) based on a cross reference with an external database. What might be the best way to do this? (edited)
π Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch within 24 hours (often sooner!). If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Hi Clark, thanks for reaching out! Could you clarify the specific conditions you're aiming to set up to prevent sequences from running with the tools you've mentioned? Clay offers several native lookup integrations that can help you easily retrieve records based on specific attributes across CRMs, Clay tables, or other databases where your leads may be stored. It would be helpful if you could provide some additional context on where your leads are currently being stored to guide you better.
i believe supabase
but we could probably do a CSV
I believe that Supabase is built on top of Postgres, database which you will be able to query for specific identifiers with out "Postgres Lookup Row" integration column: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1217118377/61c0480207f82278e450c656592c/CleanShot+2024-10-15+at+14_50_39%402x.png?expires=1729020600&signature=ac46cc4322d75caf92bde56c61cc252a9c2b69b5a22bfabd98c63ffbe680eab2&req=dSImEch%2FlYJYXvMW1HO4zez69X2iz3A0BQ8U4GIDSh7PzpLm1cLJKcUu%2FtIJ%0ATB60%0A By retrieving information on specific leads, you can conditionally run your sequencers. Watch this video to see how to set it up using our AI formulas feature: https://www.loom.com/share/36fc465117464d81832d6d8668dec95e?sid=e7bc68ca-7a40-4420-8394-e5e4038465d0 I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!
Gotcha, the conditional run isn't the issue, it's stopping a sequence once it has started in smartlead or lemlist or Heyreach
Are you pushing your leads to all three of those tools simultaneously? Just trying to better understand the logic behind your data orchestration processes here so I can help you find a solution which suits your specific use-case best.
Yep
Conditionally of course
You can implement the logic outlined in your flowchart using a basic clay table, applying the same conditional logic through the AI formulas feature I explained in the video above. If you run into any specific questions as you work through the implementation, feel free to reach out. We integrate with Findymail, Leadmagic, Heyreach, and Lemlist, so you should be able to complete all the steps in your process based on the instructions Iβve already provided.
Yep, I've already got the workflow ready in clay, I just need to be able to take people out of the sequence when they book a call
Got it! What system are you currently using to book your client meetings?
Website is built on webflow and it's often actually not booking a call but just entering information in a form that triggers the workflow so I believe it's just a standard webflow form
You can create a webhook table in Clay which will update automatically when users fill out a form in Webflow and use it to perform lookups based on a specific identifier, such as the user's email. This video shows you how to create a webhook table within Clay. You can then use Clay's look up single row enrichment column, to retrieve those unique identifier matches from your webhook table. Here's a video explaining how you can set a lookup single row enrichment column up in Clay: https://www.loom.com/share/ad767e3be9914d19a2f6647efe4dfa85?sid=b392b189-1b2a-4fba-a8dc-edb8032f79b1. You'll then use these lookup results to build the same conditional logics I've explained earlier in our conversation, using the AI formulas feature. I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!
Hey Bruno R. Got another question for you. Right now I've got a maximum number of apollo api calls of 400 per hour which is around 6000 per day. I am getting this error that says that's what's happening. How can I automatically run the column each hour of the day so that it should rerun when I have more API calls available each hour?
Hey, thanks for reaching out Itβs not possible to automatically run the column each hour based on available API calls. It might be better to consider upgrading your Apollo account to increase the API limit. Alternatively, you can use our Find People feature, which might be a great solution for your needs: Find People with Clay 101. Let me know if you need more help! π
I'm looking for revenue, any alternative ideas there?

Hey there, another question. So I have this cell that says that the run condition is not met and that it has stale data, however the run condition should be met and I re-updated the cell and the workflow worked, so wondering what the issue might be
Hey there - just wanted to check in here to see if you needed anything else! Feel free to reply back here if you do.
Looks like this is an issue for multiple cells and I have over 6k contacts. Should I just redo the column?
Hey Clark! Thanks for reaching out. Sorry about this. To resolve the stale data issue, click on the column header for Smartlead and select "force run all rows". For context, It looks like the stale data error was a result of preceding cells needing to be updated. Now that is updated, re-running the column will update any cells that should no longer have "run condition not met". If you'd prefer to only refresh the cells that have "run condition not met", you can also filter your table for this (see screenshot below) and "force run" all cells within that view. Let me know if this helps! https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1219744015/b60c72f6feb45be91d84d49f9ac1/CleanShot+2024-10-17+at+18_21_25%402x.png?expires=1729188000&signature=e8c98c9b0d2d4aebe47a2d65ae1a5d752230876cfdcd12db74e8a7bbd638a5ca&req=dSImH856mYFeXPMW1HO4zWRnbyJY8jN5Z900ma%2BiFhRfp4cRjymyJeDYSSHk%0AZsLB%0A https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1219742270/707b7a3b29f9873b64a80915820e/CleanShot+2024-10-17+at+18_20_42%402x.png?expires=1729188000&signature=39d559ff0e9cfbab849fa725ed7218885fa565a7bbb98aa37c2469664e0a69e1&req=dSImH856n4NYWfMW1HO4zTZtKh9Sd3V168sOk0W2VaoQqTP1szBhRKRdH5io%0A8s2n%0A
