Hey guys, Just a lazy support request. Which industry is more likely to find more gyms between these two? -Health, wellness and fitness -Wellness and fitness services Thanks
The information provided doesn't specifically mention gyms or compare industries in terms of gym prevalence. However, we can discuss the concept of horizontal and vertical markets, which might be relevant to your question.Horizontal markets cater to multiple industries with products or services that have wide demand. Gyms could potentially fall into this category, as they serve customers from various industries and backgrounds. Vertical markets, on the other hand, focus on specific niche sectors. To better assist you, could you provide more context about the two specific industries you're comparing? This would help us analyze which one might be more likely to have a higher concentration of gyms. Source: What is Horizontal Market? | Clay

And trying to find gyms with google map but no results shows up https://app.clay.com/workspaces/12255/workbooks/wb_nYcP4cgHzvwP/tables/t_oVNErMFMQbJy/views/gv_qgjSTGzzw6jW
Hey, thanks for reaching out - I've tested both results here, you can see the results in screenshots For gym searches to work effectively in Clay, you need to specify the city in Location Query. Reasonable search radius AND precise search parameters. Our Google Maps integration works with smaller, focused searches due to API limitations. Quick fix: - Add city name (e.g. "New York") - Set appropriate radius (the smaller the better) - Adjust search parameters I've edited the search parameters and it's running now. Let me know if you need help fine-tuning the location query for better results. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1351672427/fad24fa9bfa5192bfc4b73d82a86/CleanShot+2025-01-25+at+_58qOfuFBgw%402x.png?expires=1737829800&signature=119f033c8dbbf156da2b4291b7a9064aa96b4a77ff955c346c05553106febe80&req=dSMiF895n4VdXvMW1HO4zeCgJwRWe757f%2FPqp1o5OUlatSNCGnB%2FUp64aXL6%0AV9He%0A https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1351672411/b0948c34370e064744af6ef60a8e/CleanShot+2025-01-25+at+_097Sg83O3l%402x.png?expires=1737829800&signature=420456a0f492ac145c58c84560abb44277e9a39856c2efc8ed7bbae2a4a941cd&req=dSMiF895n4VeWPMW1HO4zfWYSnUrA4vnI2%2Fd1EJgW4xyspcx3FoLSUoBfgFU%0AVry5%0A
Bo (. Thanks for the answer, but I do I know I didn't miss any gyms in NY for example? Did you still use search with criterias? I don't understand the screenshots?
Hey Augustin, 1. Industry Comparison: In the screenshots, I compared both industries in theFind Companies search, the results clearly show Wellness and Fitness Services has more gyms, you can also test this yourself by going in the Find Companies Search and adding the same parameters. Feel free to try other variations, e.g just for "gym" instead of by industry 2. About finding all NY gyms: I don't use the same search as what you refered, no. LinkedIn data (Find Companies) isn't ideal for gyms since many don't maintain profiles. Instead, I recommend using Clay'sGoogle Maps search because: - It mirrors Google Maps results directly (where all those gyms have profiles) - Will give you more comprehensive gym listings - Captures local businesses better This should allow you to not miss any gyms and for best Google Maps search results: - Use "New York" in the location field - Set a focused radius - Try simple terms like "gym" or specific types like "crossfit" If you spot any missing gyms, just left-click the row and use "leave feedback" to let our data team know.
Thanks Bo (. appreciate your answer!
