Adding a Column for Find People Database in Clay: Guidance Needed

·
·

Heya, would love some help with the following- I’d like to add an extra table column that goes to Clay “find people” database and returns one person in the niche {{niche_variable}} and in the role {{role_variable}}. Hope that makes sense. The AI support tells me to do this with “Find Contacts at Company” enrichment and to omit the Company identifier, but the company identifier appears to be a required field. I mean, this would be an ideal solution if it weren’t required and I would limit output to 1. The only way “find people” seems to work is by adding rows and I want to add a column.

To add a column that finds one person based on niche and role variables without a company identifier, you can use the "Find People with Companies, People, and Jobs" enrichment. Here's how: 1. Add a new column to your table. 2. Choose "Add Enrichment" and select "Find People with Companies, People, and Jobs". 3. In the configuration, use your niche variable for "Company Name" and role variable for "Contact Job Title". 4. Set the "Limit" to 1 to return only one person. This approach doesn't require a company identifier. If you need to add the results to another table, use our "write to table" feature after the enrichment.

Not helpful because it returns an error “invalid company identifier” (given it’s a niche, not a URL)
