Hi! I'm trying to build a table that uses signals to pull profiles of people that show certain intents. For example, putting something new in their tagline like: "Building," "Exploring something new," or "stealth". Or putting an end date to their job but not adding anything. Or writing a LinkedIn post saying that they're wrapping up at their company and that they're exploring ideas. Know this is possible because I went to a Clay workshop on signals a few months ago, but can't seem to figure it out. Thanks!
To build a table that tracks people showing specific intents like career changes, you can use Clay's Job Change Signals feature:
1. Start by creating a table with LinkedIn profiles you want to monitor
2. Click Actions, then select Monitor for job changes
3. Select your table containing LinkedIn URLs of contacts
4. Enable Update outdated rows - this adds a new row when someone's current company no longer matches your records
5. Set how often you want the Signal to run
6. Add any additional enrichments to gather more data
7. Optionally preview with Add sample results
8. Click Save and run X rows to finish
Alternatively, you can create a dedicated job change tracking table by:
1. Open your workspace and click +Create New > Table > Track Job Changes
2. Follow the setup instructions to monitor LinkedIn profiles
This will help you identify people who have updated their profiles with new keywords or ended jobs.
can you have it so that it isn't monitoring existing profiles but rather pulling in profiles into the table as these signals appear?
To automatically pull new profiles into a table based on intent signals, you can: 1. Create a dedicated job change tracking table by clicking +Create New > Table > Track Job Changes. 2. Set up a webhook table to receive new data automatically. Enable Auto-Update so your table processes incoming data without manual intervention. 3. For monitoring new hires with specific signals: • Click Actions > Monitor for new hires • Select your company table with proper identifiers • Configure filters to specify which profiles to track (job titles, keywords, etc.) • Set your preferred monitoring frequency • Add enrichments for additional data • Save and run This approach lets you continuously discover new profiles showing your target signals rather than just tracking existing contacts.
Hey there Edgar sorry for the long delay here, taking a look at this, so at the moment it is not possible to pull in new leads that are not from a table already. However, we are planning on releasing a Signal option that would allow you to do this very soon within Clay.
Oh amazing, thank you very much Luis!!!
Excited for that update.
