How to Filter Uploaded CSV Leads in Clay by Specific Criteria

·
·

Hey! I have a problem. When i upload a CSV file from (lets say storeleads) but i want to filter it even deeper with clay. How do i do that? I've tried "find more companies" but then it just finds companies from the whole clay database. i want to filter further ONLY on the lead list i uploaded (fx. filtering 2-10 employees only from the list i uploaded, not the whole clay database, makes sense?) Or i want to filter Exclude keywords (but only output companies from the list i've uploaded)

Hey! Thanks for reaching out 😊. To filter your uploaded CSV file further (e.g., filtering companies with 2-10 employees or excluding keywords), here’s how you can do it: 1. Filtering only from your uploaded list: • You’ll want to use the table filters directly on the list you’ve uploaded, rather than using “Find More Companies.” Typically, you can filter based on specific columns, like employee size, by clicking the filter icon at the top of your table. This allows you to apply the filter to just the data from your CSV. 2. Excluding Keywords: • You can also add filters to exclude certain keywords, and it will only apply to the companies in your uploaded list, not the entire Clay database. Just add the exclusion condition under the filters section. If your CSV contains sub-domains or specific Shopify domains, it might be pulling in other companies due to how our search works by translating domains into LinkedIn URLs. To address that, you can use a lookup to match the exact domain with the company you’re targeting. Here’s a video guide on using lookup to filter out mismatches. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1228022961/1f26c6a0745fe41989446cf379c9/CleanShot+2024-10-24+at+_34i3QEpHSV.gif?expires=1729798200&signature=8781b71ec83754bb44d4759bc6a254bdb08f79dcce9e4447290fa3312de4d9d7&req=dSIlHsl8n4hZWPMW1HO4zWwGqmiE7d9EbacTVrYZloKX7bFyAMFH5wC64PhV%0AO6KC%0A Let me know if you’re still facing any issues with the filters, and I’d be happy to walk you through it with more details! 😊
