I think I need to reset my Clay key. I've deleted and recreated them and I'm still unable to do a single row lookup on another Clay table. Please send help. Thanks!
To reset your Clay API key and enable single row lookup, follow these steps: 1. Click on your profile picture in the top navigation bar and select "Settings". 2. Under "Your Profile", locate the "API Key" section. 3. Generate a new API key if needed. 4. Ensure the new key is properly connected in your integrations. For single row lookup: ** Use the "Lookup Single Row in Other Table" action. ** Select the table to search, target column, filter operator, and row value. If you're still experiencing issues after resetting your key, you may need to review your integration setup. If you need further assistance, please request to talk to a person in this chat.
Hey there, thanks for reaching out! Just to confirm, when you say you cannot use the Single Row lookup are you saying you're unable to see these tables available as shown in the image below? Or are you referring to a specific function after selecting one of these tables?
I'm meaning that there are no tables in that drop down for me to select
I spoke with my colleague and he said that he's had it happen before and you guys had to reset the Clay key. We tried doing that on our end, but it didn't help.
Gotcha, appreciate the context! Reseting the key is what I just did as well. After doing so, I was able to see tables in this dropdown. Curious, if you select the "support_testing" account are you able to see tables to select from?
oh, nice! I can see tables now, but not the table that I'm looking for
Got it! Which table are you looking for exactly? This is likely a mixup between the workbook title and the table title, let me know happy to clarify. :)
I'm looking for this table: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/327512/workbooks/wb_wdvUfJ5xq6in
Ah got it. Yup, this is because of the difference between workbook titles and table titles. Check out this 30 second video below that clears things up! :)
oh, funky!
Ok, I've got it in there and mapped.
Do we just keep using this new support_testing API key now? How do we prevent this from happening in the future?
or do we just have infinite API keys and if we just create a new one, it will work?
Incredible! Yes, using that key moving forward should work without any issues. You can regenerate your API key as many times as needed, so if anything ever comes up, feel free to generate a new key and add an account in the Account dropdown within the Lookup column. Let me know if you have any questions!
Will do! Thanks so much!
Of course! Feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns. :)
