Hi! Do formulas support the equivalent of a COUNTIFS() function? I'm hoping to return at each row, the count of rows in the table that contain a particular value referenced in the given row, but the formula generator seems to only return invalid formulas.
Yes, you can count rows with specific values using the Lookup Multiple Rows integration. This allows you to scan a column and count how many cells match a specific value. You can perform these lookups within the same table or across different tables. The Count Occurrences feature in Clay enables you to analyze and tally specific items within your data, making it efficient to quantify elements that match your criteria. This is great to know, but this resembles more of a countif() vs a countifs(). It'd be great to support multiple if conditions in the rows that are returned. Also just as general feedback, the need to use an enrichment column when trying to count within the same Clay table, seems like overkill. A formula that supports this functionality would be far smoother / simpler.
Currently, the main way to count rows with multiple conditions is through the Lookup Multiple Rows integration, which allows you to scan columns and count matching values. While this does require using an enrichment column, it's the current supported method for performing count operations within Clay tables.I understand your feedback about wanting a simpler formula-based approach similar to COUNTIFS() without requiring an enrichment column. This would indeed provide a more streamlined experience. I encourage you to explicitly request a human agent in this conversation to share this product feedback directly with our team.
Looks like you're still looking for help. We're escalating this over to our support team and someone should be in touch soon. In the meantime, feel free to include any other information that may be helpful in solving your issue!
Hi Gregory, thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, we do not have such a function in place, as formulas work on individual rows rather than whole tables. I am sorry we could not help you today, but if there is anything else you need help with, let me know! :)
Hey there - just wanted to check in here to see if you needed anything else! Feel free to reply back here if you do.
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
