Hey All, trying to use Google Search but for some reason it keeps returning many fewer results than expected, and always at a multiple of 100. Like there are 800 results for a boolean search I am doing, and only 200 output. Not 205, but exactly 200. or 100 for another one.

    Tried this a couple of times and it's also getting stuck on 200 ish, will ask more about this

    Bruce W. sorry for the delay here! dove into these results, and there's a few things that may be causing this: 1. in your google search query on google, you're not specifying country and language. but when you're running it in clay, you are, which will change the results you get back 2. we dedupe google search results. that is, google might have multiple different search results linking to the same page, but we'll try to consolidate them into one entry 3. the "total results" count at the top of a google search is, generally speaking, not accurate. they'll stop you when you page through the results when you hit the limit of actual results they'll show you (maybe on page 77, when google says 1.4b results). so i wouldn't trust that top-line number that google shows as accurate
