Hey Team. I am facing a issue with the native lookup function. When I click on the cell details, I am not able to see all the cell details from the other table. The table we are trying to lookup has 55 columns but then the cell details on the lookup only has 39 columns. Can you please help with this. Here is the table link. Can you please help me understand why this is the case?
The native lookup function in Clay has an optional "Limit" input that can restrict the number of columns returned. This is designed to reduce the response size when dealing with tables that have a large number of columns. In your case, it seems the lookup might be set with a limit of 39 columns. To see all 55 columns, you'll need to adjust the lookup settings. If you can't find this option or need help modifying it, you should request human assistance by clicking on "Talk to a person" for more detailed guidance.
Yeah it's everyone mate...
sorry I did not get you. is the issue resolved or am I doing something wrong?
ok I just got it you are saying everyone is facing the same issue? Are we working on fix if so?
I have no clue because I'm not from Clay, so it would be a question for them Stefano
Hey, While the table has 55 columns, not all of them contain data for every row — many towards the end are empty, which is why they’re not showing in the cell details view. Some types, like people search results, also don’t display there. If you’ve already rerun the lookup and still notice missing values, let me know which specific row you’re seeing the issue on and I’ll take a closer look.
Bo (. Still the problem is not resolved. Let me give you an example. With the same look up it shows 39 columns. However, I am not able to find columns like 'ATS Comp Email Opening Paragraph' from the other table i.e. Master Company Sprint 1 sheet. Like these there are many other columns missing even though the lookup function is a match. https://app.clay.com/workspaces/408593/workbooks/wb_sM9z6gxnPARm/tables/t_zEgivQErgkuZ/views/gv_56awMTQBcpDW
I recorded this walkthrough video showing exactly how to set this up: https://cln.sh/8Km2zCjj Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
