Does it make sense that even if there’s no Person Found I’m still charged credits?
btw, for No Match Found I wasn’t charged
Hi Aviv, thanks for getting in touch!
Clay is an aggregator/one access pass to 50+ data providers and their enrichment or data search services.Enrichments cost credits to run which you can see how much each one charges per search or result (cost established by the provider) when you add them (green credit icon next to them), and some will even refund the credits if they don't find data (some still charge even if they don't find anything). If you use your own API key we won't charge you credits for that enrichment provider. Clay.com/pricing for our plans.
Hi Aviv, I had the same thought, but then realised the Enrichments are with service providers that generally seem to have taking their pricing model as charge you a lower fee for looking vs charge a slightly higher fee for finding - since they can not control how many "looks" are successful
Yup! Unfortunately, not every provider is generous enough to refund or not charge when they don't find data because they still consider that a cost on their end and they'll charge the owner of the API for the request anyway. We try to help out with some of those cases, mainly for important data points like emails and phone numbers even if the data provider charges Clay, we'll refund you when no value is found.
