Linking Find People and Enrich Person in Clay: A Solution?

Hi there, I have a question about linking two functionalities in Clay: 1. Using the "Find People" source 2. Later using the "Enrich Person" enrichment I often use "Find People" as my source by selecting a specific company and then searching for leads. However, this is not enough, and I need to enrich those contacts using "Enrich Person." The problem is that sometimes I'm not linking them properly because "Enrich Person" defaults to showing the first organization on LinkedIn (this company may not be on my previous find people search. This happens in two cases: when someone has changed jobs and ‘Find People’ has not been updated, or when someone works for several companies at the same time). Is there any way to resolve this? I could use AI to verify if the person is working at the correct company, but I wonder if there might be a smarter solution to this issue. Thank you!

Use "Enrich Person from Profile" instead of generic "Enrich Person" enrichments. This feature uses the person's profile URL as the identifier, ensuring you're enriching the exact person from your Find People results.
Set up the enrichment by selecting your "Profile URL" column as the Social Profile Identifier, which maintains the connection to the specific company context from your original search. This approach uses the profile URL as your "corner piece" - the key identifier that ensures accurate data linking. [1]
This method eliminates the company mismatch issue since it enriches based on the specific profile rather than defaulting to the first organization listed.

Hey Karol K. , sharing my 2 cents here. Generally speaking, Clay's 'Find People' might have updated information sometimes. So the first step I would do, is to use 'Enrich Person' and at least check if any of their 'current companies' is the same as what Clay gave you. I typically like to use a formula *See attached), and extract out all their current domains from 'current_experience'. You can then imagine once you have the current domains, it's fairly easy to do a lookup from your original list to the new list. Hope it helps a little!

Hey Karol! Totally understand your frustration here. I'll pass this along as feedback for the team. Asher's approach is a good one and I would also second the value of our 'Find People' source, it gets updated pretty frequently so it should be incredibly accurate.

Hey! Great question that’s a pretty common issue. The cleanest fix is to link “Enrich Person” directly to the company domain used in your “Find People” search instead of relying on LinkedIn’s current org data. That way, even if they’ve changed jobs or hold multiple roles, Clay will prioritize enrichment for the right company. You can also add a “Run If” check to skip enrichments when the company doesn’t match.
