I have spent nearly all day trying to get data from one table to another and failed. Lets call my tables 1 and 2 in 1 I have an enrichment using AI to find a value yes or no I want to get the results yes/no to table 2 I set up a clay multi row lookup and mapped 2 columns that have a matching data. I see all the columns from table 1 EXCEPT the column I used AI with Do lookups not work if there is AI involved?
Clay multi-row lookups should work with AI-enriched columns. To transfer AI-generated yes/no values from one table to another, you can use our "write to table" feature. Here's how: 1. Select your Clay account 2. Choose the destination table 3. Skip list selection by entering "/" 4. Map the columns, including your AI-enriched yes/no column 5. (Optional) Configure auto-update and run conditions If you're still having issues, double-check your column mapping and ensure the AI-enriched column is included. If problems persist, you may need to request human assistance for further troubleshooting.
what does this mean "Select your Clay account
"
When using our "write to table" feature to transfer AI-enriched data between tables, "Select your Clay account" refers to the first step in the process. This step is necessary to authenticate and access your Clay data. If you haven't set up an account yet, you'll need to obtain your API key to create a Clay integration. This key allows the system to securely access and transfer data between your tables. By selecting your account, you're essentially telling Clay which set of tables and data you want to work with for the transfer operation. This ensures that you're working within your own workspace and data environment.
This makes no sense, can i talk to a human please
I've been waiting for help, I'll keep waiting
Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out and apologies for the delay here. Recording a quick video for ya
Hey Mike, thanks so much for reaching out, and apologies for the delay here. When using a lookup column, any data that is nested inside a cell won't appear in the results. This means that if you Run an AI column and get a response, you'll need to map that response into its own separate column as a text cell first. Once you've mapped it out into its own cell, re-running the lookup column will successfully pull in that data point. Let me know if this help!
