Improving People Search Functionality in Find Companies Table

Β·

Improving capture of "People Search (Find People from Find Companies Table)" Link to Clay table It looks like my current search to find people from companies is only capturing ~50% of people that actually exist. Why might this be? For example, this person is not captured but has a title that is included in the search and is connected to the corresponding LinkedIn account (row 8). Please lmk how I should reconfigure the People Search (Find People from Find Companies Table) column to capture these people. Piers

To improve your people search capture rate, here are the key configurations to check: 1. Verify your company data connection: β€’ Ensure your Find People search is correctly linked to your companies table β€’ Confirm that the corresponding domain/social URLs are auto-populating correctly 2. Optimize your search parameters: β€’ Use company social URLs instead of domains when possible, as they typically yield more accurate and comprehensive results β€’ Include all possible variations of job titles since semantic search isn't supported (e.g., "Revenue Operations", "RevOps", "Rev Operations") 3. Check your search filters: β€’ Review your job title filters and consider including past experiences β€’ Make sure you haven't set overly restrictive company or job title parameters β€’ Double-check any exclusion filters that might be limiting your resultsIf you're still missing specific profiles after these adjustments, you may want to review your search criteria and broaden any overly restrictive parameters while maintaining relevance to your target personas. Hi Sam, thanks for reaching out. Taking a look at this now! I looks like the founder of "the ferm" specifically has a private profile, so our search will not be able to pick up on their information for your people search - is there any other instances of coverage not being on par with your expectations here? Would be happy to take a look at what may be causing the issue here.

Thanks Bruno R.. How did you determine they have a 'private' profile? Here are some other examples: Row 9 - https://www.linkedin.com/in/lauratotten1/ Row 13 - https://www.linkedin.com/in/subhaganesh/ Row 16 - https://www.linkedin.com/in/tomsmart2/

This is often the main issue when specific profiles aren’t found through the providers we aggregate for people search data. An alternative approach is using Claygent, our AI web scraper, to retrieve LinkedIn URLs for the owners directly. I ran some tests for the companies where the people search failed and was able to reliably find these profiles. I recorded this video to walk you through the process: Loom Video.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, should I interpret this as "You cannot find phone numbers from the Apollo API in Clay?" Not Piers

Hi Sam, You're correct - Apollo's mobile numbers aren't accessible through the standard API integration. You'll need to set up a custom HTTP API column to pull that data. You can check this thread for more info on how to do this: https://clayrunhq.slack.com/archives/C025KSBLPGX/p1736359159679969?thread_ts=1736356694.056559=C025KSBLPGX
