Hello Clay team. We have a list of leads with personal emails and we want to enrich that database with LinkedIn profiles. Is that possible? And if yes how many credits per row will be spent on such enrichment? Would appreciate your help with this.
👋 Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch soon. If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Hello Sabina! Absolutely! The best way to do this is to set up a “LinkedIn Profile” enrichment waterfall. Here’s how it works: when you add this enrichment, Clay runs through a sequence of providers until one successfully returns a LinkedIn URL. At that point, the process stops, so you only pay for the successful providers you actually need. Each provider in the waterfall shows its credit cost per row (for example, 1 credit/row, 2 credits/row, etc.). Clay tries the first provider, and if it finds the LinkedIn URL right away, you only spend the credits for that provider. If it doesn’t find a match, Clay moves on to the next one, and so on, until it locates a LinkedIn profile. Typically, this might cost anywhere from about 1–4 credits per row, depending on which providers return results. You can always adjust the providers in your waterfall to strike the best balance between cost and coverage. Follow these steps to get started: 1. Open your Clay table that contains the personal emails you want to enrich. 2. Click “Add Enrichment” and search for “LinkedIn Profile.” 3. Select the columns you’d like to use as inputs. In this case, you’ll need to provide the Company Name, Full Name, and Personal Email. 4. Rearrange the providers in your waterfall so that your most reliable or cost effective options run first. Clay will stop as soon as it finds a LinkedIn profile which helps minimize your credit usage. Check out this guide for more information about setting up waterfalls: Enrich People (Waterfalls).
