Troubleshooting HubSpot Contacts and Clay Live Table Updates

·
·

hi support! Have a live table enriching contacts from Hubspot. Would love some help with the following:

  1. 1.

I added a new contact property in Hubspot recently, but still can't access it as a property in Clay, even after updating the source multiple times. Is there some trick for getting Clay to see the newly created property on imported contacts?

  2. 2.

What is the update behavior of the live tables? We're incinerating credits, and I'm not sure how, unless it's maybe re-running old records on each update?

  3. 3.

Is there a way to run table updates on a webhook? or some other hacky method? It seems the answer is no, but want to double check bc it's a pretty severe limitation

  4. 4.

Is there a way to insert a conditional into a contact data waterfall, such that it will keep going if the first value found doesn't meet our criteria? This is different than validating/debouncing emails. Ex: Rocketreach --> (conditional on domain of rocketreach found address) --> PDL --> (conditional on domain of PDL found address) --> Hunter....

  5. 5.

Less of a clay q, but do you have any recs for which contact data providers are best for international folks? specifically India and EU

Hey, thanks for reaching out Catherine 1. To get Clay to see the newly created HubSpot property, you’ll need to use Lookup Contact for the new data. Adding a row doesn’t automatically update all properties, so running a Lookup fetches the latest fields from HubSpot. [App: Article Inserter] 2. You can review the cost per column by clicking the header and checking Run Info. If credits are being used up quickly, it’s likely due to re-running old records. You can disable auto-updates, limit the number of rows being processed, or set row filters. Here’s a guide to manage this: Loom Guide. 3. Unfortunately, updating results from a webhook isn’t possible at the moment. Could you share more details about what you’re trying to achieve? 4. For contact data providers, Forager is excellent for mobile numbers globally. For EMEA, I’d recommend using a work email provider for better accuracy. Let me know if you need more details! 😊

Yes, you can definitely achieve this by setting up each column one by one and applying a conditional formula. This way, you can check if the domain found meets your criteria and move to the next source if it doesn’t. You can learn more about setting up these formulas here: https://www.clay.com/university/lesson/how-to-use-ai-formulas Let me know if you’d like further assistance with this! 😊
