Hi all! Question re: data specific to franchises (if anyone has experience here). I'm working with a client on leveraging Clay to pull/enrich data for franchise owners/operators β and no matter our filters, we get no more than 250 results. Interestingly enough, when we BROADEN our filters, the numbers shrink... and when we fine-tune, they expand. Any thoughts on if Clay is a good fit for this market... or if, perhaps, there's just not enough available contact data out there to pool? Thanks!
Clay can be a good fit for pulling and enriching data for franchise owners/operators, but the inconsistent results you're experiencing might be due to how you're using the platform rather than limitations in available data. Clay offers powerful data enrichment capabilities through its waterfall feature, which searches multiple providers for any data point. This approach can significantly improve data coverage and quality compared to relying on a single source. To address your specific challenges: 1. Inconsistent results: Try using the waterfall enrichment feature to combine data from multiple sources. 2. Limited data: Explore Clay's AI research agents, which can analyze websites, social media profiles, and other unstructured data for custom data points. If you need further assistance in optimizing your filters or enrichment strategy, consider requesting human support within this chat for personalized guidance.
I can't view the table (might be private) but I've done franchise lists, can share a pointer or two
but impossible to get full coverage list, tons and tons of franchisees don't exist online or title themselves as "business owners" or are outdated. And they also create sepererate franchise entity on Linkedin like XYZ of CITY
Hey, Great question β and yes, Clay can definitely help here, but the approach matters. Instead of starting with people filters, Iβd recommend flipping the process:
1. First, build a list of franchise or businesses. You can scrape directories, use franchise listings online, or our Chrome extension to collect them.
2. Once youβve got that base list in Clay, use Claygent (Argon model) to find the owners or operators. Prompt something like: βFind the franchise owner/operator of [Franchise Name] at [Location/Company].β This method usually gives much better results than starting with people filters alone. Hereβs an example of that search in actin for inspiration: https://cln.sh/pHgLKqxZ Let me know if you want help getting that set up!
Diana C. what Bo said^ and also build a search on Sales Nav by franchisee/franchise owner and then another list on Apollo, Clay.com. Merge three and dedup. Once you have that list gathered from what Bo said, then do the same thing on 3 platforms but instead of franchisee/franchise owners, now match by companies and look for business owner, owners, operators, CEO
then combine all of those...... Like I said, a nasty market lol
